Chalk Label Jars

After I had decided to make mint chocolate infused sugar for Christmas presents I Chalk Labeled Jars
thought I should have something fun to give them in. I purchased some mason jars awhile back knowing that I’d use them for Christmas but not knowing what would actually be in them.

So at this point I knew what would be in the jars but I wanted more than just a standard hanging tag for the label. I love the idea of being able to reuse the jars for something else and what is fun about a plain empty jar? At World Market months ago I had seen chalk labels with an adhesive back and thought it would be the perfect quirk to the jars! Downside: four dollars for six labels, just a bit out of my price range when I had no idea how many jars I would end up needing.

I bought the labels and then used them as stencils. The hubs picked up some chalkboard paint at Home Depot and I set to work! I think they ended up during out great and I’ve been able to find a few more uses for the paint!

Happy Crafting!
